General Track(一般方向)

the General Track in Psychology is the most flexible of the tracksand is designed to provide students with a founDATion in the subfields of the student'schoice (FounDATional Courses) before entering more Advanced coursework (andsometimes lab work) in a wide array of areas. A thesis option is available forstudents with a strong interest in the research component of the program. Thistrack is excellent preparation for students interested in exploring the breadthof Psychology, and is flexible enough to provide good preparation for thosethinking about working in business, law, medicine, or academia.

Mind, Brain, and Behavior track(心、脑与行为心理学方向)

The Cognitive Science track inPsychology is one of the options available in the Mind, Brain, and BehaviorInitiative, which was formed to create an "interdisciplinary community ofinvestigators whose research aims to eluciDATe the structure, function, evolution,development, and pathology of the nervous system in relation to human behaviorand mental life." In Psychology, this could take many forms, includingstudying the development of language in infants, the way in which our neuronsprocess inforMATion and how this may be Modeled by computer systems, or how wecome to be aware of what we know. MBB is an honors-eligible only track, andrequires an APplication for admission, a 3.5 College GPA at time ofAPplication, and a senior honors thesis.

Social and Cognitive Neuroscience track(社会与认知神经科学)

The SoCIAl and Cognitive Neuroscience trackin Psychology is one of the options available in the Life Sciences Cluster ofconcentrations, which were formed to encourage interdisciplinary research andstudy in cutting-edge life science areas. In Psychology, this could take manyforms, including studying the effects of stress hormones on health andbehavior, examining the pArts of the brain that may be linked to ourunderstanding of others or of moral judgments, or examining a rat Model of anautism-spectrum disorder to better understand what may be going on in childrenwith this disorder.
