简介：

　　This program is designed to provide specific and appropriate language training for English as Second or Additional Language speakers who intend to proceed to post-secondary study, focusing on English for academic purposes. Successful completion of the program means that a student has a sufficient level of English language proficiency to undertake studies at English speaking colleges or universities. The program provides five levels of study. Individual courses at each level focus on reading, grammar, writing, speaking and listening skills.

　　Students are required to take the English Placement Test (EPT) to determine appropriate placement. The EPT is given several times a year; contact the Assessment Centre (250) 828-5470 for dates.

　　EPT Test Waivers are also possible with appropriate TOEFL or IELTS scores.

入学要求：

　　入学总要求：

　　1、all TRU programs require secondary school completion for academic admission.

　　2、Minimum Age ：Students must be at least 17 years old.

　　ESL级别入学要求：

　　升入ESL Level 5入学要求：托福iBT 80分，或雅思6分各单项不低于5.5分，或MELAB考试77分，或CanTEST考试4分各单项不低于4分，或CAEL考试60分各单项不低于50分。

　　升入ESL Level 4入学要求：托福iBT 71分，或雅思5.5分各单项不低于5分，或MELAB考试74分，或CanTEST考试4分各单项不低于3.5分，或CAEL考试50分各单项不低于40分。

　　升入ESL Level 3入学要求：托福iBT 61分，或雅思5分，或MELAB考试69分，或CanTEST考试43.5分，或CAEL考试40分。
