德州农工大学(金斯维尔)化学系刘老师目前正在招收2013年秋季或冬季入学的有意向做纳米能源材料方向的硕士生。该项目提供TA和RA奖学金机会。

　　申请德州农工大学(金斯维尔)化学系纳米能源材料方向的硕士项目的同学本科专业必须是化学、材料科学与工程、化学工程或相关专业，并且本科期间GPA不得低于3.2分，申请时的GRE及托福成绩各达到75%。

　　入学要求 Requirements:

　　1. Chemistry major, Materials Science and Engineering major, Chemical Engineering major, or related field

　　2. GPA: >=3.2

　　3. TOEFL: >=75 %

　　4. GRE: >=75 % (if students do not have both language test score, they could be conditionally admitted)

　　学制 Study duration (1.5 – 2 years):

　　1. The starting semester: Aug 2013 or Dec 2013 (Jan 2014)

　　2. The intended completing semester: Dec 2014 or May 2015

　　研究项目 Research Activities:

　　1. Nanomaterials for solar energy conversion

　　2. Catalysts for improvement of fuel cells performance

　　3. Bi-functional nanomaterials for cancer diagnosis and therapy

　　4. Nanocomposites for disinfection (aim for water purification)

　　奖学金制度 Compensation:

　　1. If the student already passed both TOEFL and GRE (both more than 75 % should be sufficient), I will offer Welch Scholarship and Teaching Assistantship (or Research Assistantship). This is equivalent to the full scholarship as called in China.

　　2. If students did not complete TOEFL or GRE, I could only offer TA or RA under my supervision or Saj’s supervision. They need to cover their tuition and daily expense partially.Additionally, students can be only conditionally admitted by our school. They must eventually pass both tests to receive their degree.

　　3. I would also help students to apply for CSC scholarship (from China) at any circumstance.

　　4. After graduation, I will be responsible to bridge them and to continue their PhD study based on their intention.

　　转学分制度 Course transfer:

　　1. 15-credits hours can be transferred to our school if they are current master students.

　　2. Any of you can be a co-advisor if you like to do so.

　　3. Publish 2-4 papers throughout the education period (about 2 papers each year). Right now, I have plenty data for writing up papers.
