Why do I, personally, want to be a nurse you ask. There is a countless number of reason why I feel this career choice is significant. With hard work and dedication comes reward. Not only does this career have a lifetime of stability, it also has many benefits. I am a very passionate and dedicated individual, who works fast and efficient. This career, in fact, chose me because of my undying love and caring nature for children.

One of my biggest motivations are my mother and aunt, who are both are registered nurses. They both have given me the hard truth about being a nurse and all that it entails. Of course it is very challenging at times but I believe the rewards of caring for other people would be priceless. I have been told that the career includes long shifts, helping people use the restroom, and lifting/moving people. That does not sounds quite appealing to the eye but those are the little things that must be done.

To care for a child you have to not only help them physically with what ever there state of illness is, you also have to emotionally care for them. After time your relationship with these children grow into something beautiful and marvelous. It may even seem as though those children are your very own. One of the most important reasons that I chose this career is because its something I would actually enjoy. Most individuals think about the money they will be making when choosing their career path but I beg to differ. Money is an important role but I believe if you are spending money and time to go to college for something your going to do for the rest of your life then it has to be something you are interested in. The last thing I want is to be one of those people who dread going to work and carry on their life as a puppet the government is controlling.

In 2005, my family was driving to the dentists office. My mother was driving and in the passengers seat was my younger brother. At the time he was quite young so his feet hardly even fell over the edge of the seat. He started rapidly kicking a soda can that was in the cup holder. I remember my sister yelling at him to stop and he wouldn’t quit. My mother looked over at him and screamed, “ He’s having a grand mal seizure!”. It was one of the scariest things I have ever witnessed at the time.

Looking back on that day, I’ve realized that I want to be able to be that person who would know exactly what to do in a state of emergency. In movies and television shows you often see a person choking or in some state of hazard. There is always a person who exclaims, “Is there a nurse or a doctor in here?!”. I want that nurse to be me. I want to be able to save the life of a person who is in serious trouble.

The human body and all of its anatomy is the most exquisite thing in my eyes. I want to learn how your body produce blood and where it comes from. I want to learn about different illness and how help suppress or cure them. There is so much information I want to obtain and so much to learn. Enrolling at The Ultimate Medical Academy was a big step for me. I know I have the motivation, dedication, and time to put all of my effort into school. It is vital that get the chance to study here at UMA. Your school offers hands on learning, small classes, close to home, and it only takes a little under a year.
