　　Karaganda State University named after the academician E.A. Buketov is one of the oldest and largest multi-discipline universities of our country.　　The true mission of the University is the integration of science and education as a base for dynamic social development. Karaganda State University named after the academician E.A. Buketov, being one of the classical universities, carries out an important social and cultural mission. This mission is to administer the ideals of science and education, to embody intellectual freedom, to contribute to the sustainable development of both the state and society, and the education of future generations.　　Today Karaganda State University named after the academician E.A. Buketov is a dynamically developing university. We prepare specialists at Bachelor Degree level in 73 specialties, Master Degree level in 48 specialties, and PhD level in 12 specialties. Presently, over fourteen thousand Bachelor, Master and PhD students study at the thirteen departments of the University. According to the requirements of the modern society, we offer good opportunities for postgraduate education, our BD graduates can continue their studies and get a Master’s or Doctor’s degree. Karaganda State University prepare Master and PhD students in collaboration with 27 foreign universities and scientific centers.　　The basic assets of the University is its highly skilled teaching staff. Presently, 99 teachers awarded the title «Best University Teacher», 30 laureates of State scientific grants for scientific specialists having made an outstanding contribution to the science and techniques development, 87 laureates of State scientific grants for talented young scientists work at the University.
